A proud Noongar Wiilman woman living on Whadjuk Country (Perth), she is also the founder of LaJala — a brand born from spirit, story, and creativity.

With a background in education and a passion for artistic expression, Tessa began developing LaJala in 2019.

After years of research, design, and collaboration, the brand officially launched in 2023.

Inspired by her childhood, her travels across Australia, and the richness of First Nations culture, Tessa created LaJala to bring together comfort and culture—

offering sleepwear that celebrates identity, storytelling, and self-expression for everyone to enjoy and be inspired by.
